UPDATE: So Samsung has officially moved their Kies 2 out of beta and now has an information page that is in english describing the new changes for the software.  It also lists the officially supported devices which are:

  • Galaxy S I9000
  • Galaxy 3 I5801
  • Wave 525
  • GT-S5233A
  • Galaxy 5 I5503

You can download the software from here.

Samsung has recently released a new version of their syncing software called Kies.  It has been upgraded to 2.0 and released as a Beta on their Korean support site.  While the site is in Korean, you can download the app directly here and upon installing it will ask which language you prefer.  Now we’ve written a few articles before on how to try and fix any Kies problems you were having so it will be interesting to see if this new update does the trick. The update also brings about a music store and iTunes/WMP playlist integration.

We unfortunately only have US based Galaxy S models which aren’t supported by Kies so we need YOU our readers to help us out.  We need you to download the software from the above link and see if your device will connect to it.  Give us a short summary of your experience with the new software below in the comments and let us know if you did or did not experience problems with the original Kies as well.  Thanks and Happy Holidays to you and yours!

Models Currently Working with Kies 2.0 Beta:

  • TBA

Models Currently Not Working with Kies 2.0 Beta:

  • Galaxy S GT-i9000 (tested by Siberiss on 12-23-10)
